FAQ
The active ingredient in self-tanner is called Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), a sugar molecule derived from sugar beets. DHA reacts with the amino acids (proteins) in the outermost layer of the skin (the stratum corneum), which consists of dead skin cells. Since the formula only adheres to dead skin cells, you don’t want too many or too few of them. That’s why we recommend exfoliating 24 hours before applying self-tanner for the best results.
Exfoliating Scrub works just as well on the face as on the rest of the body, thanks to its fine scrub particles and nourishing oils.
Exfoliating Scrub is a mechanical exfoliant with organic sugar and silica scrub particles, giving the formula a pleasantly grainy texture. Exfoliating Pads, on the other hand, are a chemical exfoliant that gently exfoliates the skin with effective and mild acids. The pads do not contain any scrub particles. Both products can be used on the face and the entire body.
The scrub is gentle on the skin and can be used as often as you wish to exfoliate.
